Almost everyone has heard the hit single 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a catchy way of transmitting its message of being happy to everyone. Bobby's simple message surely made and makes a lot of people happy and content by telling them not to worry. Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is fantastic, and is also good for your wellness. Being happy actually protects you from the strains of life. Strain is connected to leading causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and strokes. One of the better things ever said is - 'The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change', and in our life we have the ability to make the necessary changes if we desire to. Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation, we can always find consolation in the noesis that it too would change. Social networks or relationships are requisite to happiness. People are different, accept people for whom or what they are, ward off frictions, constant arguments, and let go of bitterness. If arguments seem unavoidable, do your best to understand the situation and you will probably find that you can actually tolerate and get along with the other side. Happiness is found in everyone, enhancing it is a way to make life grand and healthier. To be happy is relatively simple; it is for to decide. Abraham Lincoln observed that most people for most of the time can choose how happy or stressed they would be. The choice is simple yours, choose to be happy. Here are a few tips to keep you happy and less stressed out. For me, being grateful is on the top of this list. We have so much to be thankful for. Thank the taxi driver for bringing you home safely, thank the cook for a wonderful meal and thank the person who cleans your car. Thank G-d for being here and being able to read this article. News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can't begin their day without their daily dosage of news. Think about it, 99% of the news we hear is bad news. Starting the day with no news is good news and a good way to open today's door. Manage your time. Time is priceless and too important to waste. Time management can be regarded as a list of rules that involves scheduling, defining goals, planning, creating lists of things to do and prioritising. These are the core basics of time management that ought to be understood in order to develop efficient and effective personal time management skills. These basic skills can be fine tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can contribute that extra reserve to achieve the results you desire. Laugh and laugh heartily every day. Heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. They also know -'Laughter is the best medicine. Express your feelings, affections, friendship and love to people around you. They will most probably reciprocate your actions. These are just a few simple things you can do everyday to stay happy.
